I will dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
